We just got back from a wholesale jewelry show in Massachusetts last weekend
and our big focus was on searching out specific items for custom orders that
people were waiting for. We also bought a lot of silver -most of it was made
in Turkey. The Turkish silver is very similar in design to the beads made in
Bali and India, but there is a lot of contrast with the silver being very
white and the antiquing very black. We'll be focusing on using the silver to
make more watches since they were such a big hit at our last craft show.
With summer just around the bend, bare feet and sandals will be screaming for
painted toenails and anklets. Before now, we only made anklets as gifts for
special people; but they generated a lot of requests from people who saw them
so we are adding them to the line. Look for them too.
As always, inspiration comes from everywhere. I receive a lot of feedback
from the craft shows, but look forward to hearing your comments and ideas
too.
