We had a problem with our ISP and did not have access to the internet for a couple weeks. Please accept our apologies for getting this month's newsletter out so late.
Well, try as I do to try to keep up with the anklets and watches, they’re
usually sold as soon as they appear at the next craft show. Since the styles
are still very popular, I’ve been concentrating on having them in more sizes
instead of designing new styles. I had a couple of new designs that were sold
before I was able to place them on the website, so I’ll work on more of those
so that you can see them next month or at the next show in September.
I’m mostly caught up with the special orders except for a couple of items
(you know who you are –still working on them) so I can now focus on the Fall
and Winter line. The shell heishi and Hill Tribe silver necklaces were a big
hit in July but, since the summer is nearing to an end, I’m not expecting
much call for that in the upcoming months.
I went to a rock and mineral show last Friday and bought some beautiful
materials that will be nice for the colder months and you’ll see the stones
in new designs in September. The pink opals from Peru and the malachite
azurite are just beautiful –large oval carved beads. There were also some
faceted blue sapphires in a nice size of about a carat each that I found at
the show at a very good price, so look for gemstone earrings with pearls and
sapphires at a great price for the sapphires. I already made a lariat
necklace with turquoise tubes and I’ll have it at the Essex craft show
tomorrow. When I saw those turquoise tubes, I was so impressed that I bought
every strand the vendor had –that will be about 10 necklaces or anklets. Too
bad that particular rock and mineral show is only in the area once a year!!!
