September was a quiet month as far as craft shows are concerned, so I caught up with the special orders, made more watches, and have a few new designs using the materials that I mentioned last month that will be good for the cooler months.
As for the new September items, I said that I wasn’t going to make any new anklets but did make a simple design in gold fill that will look nice with stockings; the sapphire earrings never made it to the September catalog but I’ll have them at the October 4th show and they’ll be on the website the week of October 6th; and, the beautiful Peruvian turquoise was used to make a couple of new necklaces –the pictures just don’t do justice to those stones!
For October, I went to another bead show last Friday and bought a lot of
unusual stones and different Hill Tribe silver beads to go along with some of
the larger silver accent pieces that I’ve been saving. I already made a
necklace which you’ll see in this newsletter –it’s the one with the silver
leaf pendant. The lariat necklaces mentioned last month were made and already
sold –do you see a pattern here? I try to limit the designs to about 5 of
each style at the most but I may have to increase that!!! For those of you
who know about my multi-stone bracelets, I have a new eclectic multi-stone
design. I made one in the summer in turquoise and coral, but the new one is
in winter tones with more variety and this is one that I’ve added to my
personal jewelry box. Actually, I haven’t put it in my box yet because I’ve
worn it every day in the week since I made it and haven’t found one thing
that it doesn’t go with. I’ll have a few of them at the shows this month and
each will be unique.
At this point, I’m just trying to maintain a balance between making enough of
the older styles that are still being requested and adding new designs to the
catalog.
Thanks for your support!!! I hope you enjoy the new items.

become available.
The show at the Farmington Polo grounds was canceled and the promoters called me to say they have retired from the business. Let's hope someone else picks up the venue because we really liked this show and looked forward to doing it again. We are sad to see a show of this caliber go away.
